In response to the recent closing of Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School, Emmanuel Christian School
will host ECS Discovery Day on Thursday, October 22, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at its campus, located at
4607 W. Laskey Road in Toledo. The event is designed to support families navigating an unexpected
school transition by providing information, answering questions, and introducing them to another
option for their children’s education.
Recognizing that a school closure affects far more than the classroom, Emmanuel Christian School
wants families to know they do not have to navigate this transition alone. ECS Discovery Day will
provide an opportunity for parents and students to meet with school representatives, learn about the
school’s academic programs and Christ-centered educational environment, and discuss the
practical considerations involved in transferring to a new school.
Representatives will be available to answer questions about the transfer process, athletic eligibility,
transportation, curriculum, extracurricular activities, tuition assistance, and other concerns families
may have as they evaluate their next steps. The goal is to provide families with clear information and
personal guidance so they can make informed decisions about their children’s education.
Over the years, Emmanuel Christian School and Cardinal Stritch have shared the experience of
competing against one another in various athletic programs. As members of the greater Toledo
community, Emmanuel Christian School extends its thoughts and prayers to Cardinal Stritch students,
families, faculty, staff, and alumni during this time of transition.
ECS Discovery Day is intended to be an approachable, informative opportunity for families to explore
whether Emmanuel Christian School may be the right fit for their children. The evening is designed to
provide answers, build connections, and help parents understand the opportunities available to them.                                                                                                      Families interested in attending are encouraged to register at https://ecstoledo.org/discover-emmanuel
